Chikankari Size Guide

🧵 Chikankari Size Guide

Finding the right size is essential for comfort, style, and elegance — especially when it comes to handcrafted Chikankari garments. Since every piece at Heritage Sewa Chikan is made by hand, there may be slight variations in measurement, but this guide will help you choose the size that fits you best.

📏 How to Measure Yourself

To ensure accuracy, use a soft measuring tape and take your measurements over light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

  1. Bust/Chest – Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

  2. Waist – Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso).

  3. Hip – Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

  4. Shoulder – Measure from one shoulder point to the other across your back.

  5. Length – Measure from the highest point of your shoulder to where you want the garment to end.

💡 Tips for a Perfect Fit

  • Prefer a Relaxed Fit – Chikankari looks best when it flows naturally, so avoid choosing a size that’s too tight.

  • Handmade Variation – Each piece is made by hand, so expect a variation of ±0.5 to 1 inch.

  • Fabric Shrinkage – Pure cotton garments may shrink slightly after the first wash; we recommend choosing one size up if you prefer a loose fit.

  • Custom Sizing – We can make garments to your measurements for selected pieces. Contact us at care@heritagesewachikan.com for assistance.

Note: If you’re between sizes, we suggest going for the larger size for comfort and a graceful drape.

At Heritage Sewa Chikan, our goal is to ensure that your piece doesn’t just look beautiful — it feels like it was made just for you.
